WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO

The Child Support Division is part of the Greene County Prosecutor’s Office.  We are required by Federal law to pursue child support cases for AFDC/TANF or Medicaid recipients.  All parents, whether they are receiving these public benefits or not, are eligible to receive services through our office.  Services provided include the following:

· Establishing Paternity

· Establishing and Enforcing Support Orders

· Establishing and Enforcing Medical Support Orders

· Locating Absent Parents

· Review and Modifications of Support Orders

· Collecting Current and Past Due Child Support

Our office strives to provide our clients with efficient and courteous service.  We handle approximately 1,800 cases, which are divided between three (3) case managers.  Learning more about the child support program will help you understand how cases are handled on a daily basis and what you can do to help us help you.
