About the Office
The Greene County Attorney is appointed by the Board of Commissioners.
The County Attorney’s Office is responsible for drafting and enforcing county ordinances and for providing legal counsel and representation to elected Greene County Government officials, office holders and department heads on government matters.
The County Attorney further provides legal counsel to various boards, including the Board of Commissioners, Greene County Council, Redevelopment Commission, Regional Sewer District, Solid Waste Management District, and Emergency Medical Services, concerning the functions of Greene County Government.
