Once filed with the court:

  1. NO points added to your license
  2. NO rise in your insurance
  3. NO classes required
  4. DISMISSAL of your infraction after one year (copy mailed to address currently listed)

PROCEDURE ONCE YOU RECEIVE AN INFRACTION:

  • Ticket (infraction) submitted to Greene County Clerk's Office by Officer, then it will be...
  • Submitted to the Greene County Prosecutor's Office for qualification (can take two/three weeks to go thru the process before paperwork is mailed directly to you).
  • Should you qualify, the paperwork will be sent to the address listed on your license or ticket.
  • If you have not heard from our office at least three weeks before your infraction is due (Court Date on ticket) please contact our office (812-384-4998) so we may double check our listing from the Clerk's Office.  (Court Date is the DUE DATE or PAYMENT DATE of your ticket.  You will not be scheduled for appearance in court.)

YOU CANNOT PAY YOUR TICKET AND PARTICIPATE IN THE INFRACTION DEFERRAL PROGRAM

If you have paid your ticket, our office CANNOT offer the Infraction Deferral Program to you.
